While it may not be something you are considering right now, it may be something to consider in the future. While you make your course selections, you may want to keep in mind the newly created Business & Information Technology Certificate or, as we like to call it, the BIT Certificate.
Why should I get the BIT Certificate?
- Complement your diploma with an area of concentration
- Acquire knowledge and skills suited to the workplace or for further study at the post-secondary level
- Photocopy and include with applications for employment
What courses do I need to get the BIT Certificate?
- One Business Technology course (BTT or BTA) or Computer Science course (ICS 3M)
- One additional "B" coded Business course
- Plus any three other eligible courses
Eligible Courses:
- All Business Studies courses ("B" codes)
- All Computer Science courses ("ICS" codes)
- Economics (CIA4U1)
- 1 Law course (CLU3M1 or CLN4U1)
- 1 Mathematics: Senior at the āCā or āUā level
- Business or Information Technology linked Co-Op (counts as 2 credits)
- Minimum average of 60% across the five eligible BIT courses
