Nicholson’s BEST program supports student excellence by providing a program where, on average, students earn 50% more credits in their first year than they averaged over all of their previous years in high school. It’s an excellent program for those needing a change from the regular classroom setting or those needing to catch-up on a few lost credits.
Students complete compulsory credits in class on Mondays and earn optional credits by attending co-op placements for the rest of the week. This allows students to complete the requirements for graduation and earn the same graduation diploma as their peers, while gaining valuable workplace experience. In the past, successful students have returned to Nicholson to continue their studies, remained at BEST until graduation or, carried on to college or the world of work.
